If you shop online at all, then you are going to be interested in today’s Product Review of MyPoints.
I have been a loyal member of MyPoints since June 2008. And in exchange for reading emails, responding to special offers and occasionally purchasing online, I have been rewarded with Points. And once I have built up enough points, I redeem them for Gift Cards.
How does MyPoints work, you ask. First you will need to sign up for an account. Then you will answer some questions as to your hobbies, interests, buying habits, etc. And then you will start receiving emails. You will earn at least 5 points for every email you read and up to 2,000 points when you respond to special offers.
If you do any online shopping with partnered businesses, you can earn 2-10 points for every dollar you spend. And their are many partner businesses to choose from.
Do you clip coupons? If you do, they offer you points for printing coupons and using them at your local supermarket. Now I am a dedicated coupon shopper so I love the fact that I can earn MyPoints for using coupons to save on my groceries.
You can also earn points for doing searches on the Internet. There is a handy little toolbar you can download and it will keep track of the searches you do. The points earned will depend on how many searches you do during the month and then they are awarded to you the following month.
I have to say one of my biggest ongoing point earning opportunities have been surveys. I usually get 2-5 surveys a day delivered right to my email box. I may not qualify for every survey but I earn points regardless. And when I do qualify I earn even more.
I also belong to a few survey websites where you earn cash for taking surveys, but it takes a while to earn enough to qualify for a “payout” and they don’t generally offer you an rewards when you don’t qualify for a survey opportunity.
Overall I have been quite pleased with MyPoints over the years and would definitely recommend MyPoints to my friends. I have only had to contact them on about 3 occasions because points for online shopping were not appearing in my account. I was able to get the points credited quickly by showing them my receipts for the purchase.
For this holiday season I was able to redeem MyPoints for the following gift cards:
-
$25 Barnes and Noble
-
$10 Barnes and Noble
-
$25 Bath and Body Works
-
$50 Kohl’s
-
$50 Kmart
A few of the cards I gave away as holiday gifts and some I am out using today to do some after Christmas shopping with my kids. My son got a Nintendo DS Lite from Grandma and now we can go out and purchase the games he wants. As for my daughter, she’s getting too old for me to choose her clothing so this way she can pick out exactly what she wants.
So if you like to shop online or have the time to read a few emails every day, then I encourage you to check out MyPoints and start earning some rewards. I would love to get credit (25 MyPoints) for referring you to MyPoints so if you are interested, please fill out this form and I will send you a personal invitation to MyPoints.
