Today I was handed a challenge to fix this picture. Overall the composition is great because the person who took this photo filled the frame with the childs face. But in my opinion, the face was lost in the shadows.
Fix It Friday BEFORE
First I uploaded this picture into ArtSoft PhotoImpression 6. Then I added some Fill light. Once I did this, I noticed some camera noise around the nose that was distracting to me. I did a little Photo Healing to take away this distraction. That’s all that was really needed to fix this photo. Now you can clearly see the sparkle in the child’s eye and his beautiful smile.
