Morning dawned too early this morning. The air was humid. Could today be the day that this parched desert landscape would be blessed with moisture from Mother Nature?
To bring good fortune to the land, the native children prepared for the ritual. Clothed in their spiritual pajama’s, faces painted, they ventured out into the day to welcome the Desert Monsoon!
With bolts of lightning darting for the ground and the air rumbling with the thunder, the monsoonal clouds raced over the land. The air was so warm, the rain evaporated before it could even reach the desert floor.
