Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday my little girl was starting her first day kindergarten. Today, she is beginning her senior year in high school. I have to admit that I am a little teary eyed but excited at the same time. I am teary eyed because she is no longer my little girl. Yet at the same time I am excited for her because soon she will be off to college and on her own, making a life for herself.
And while I would love to share a photo of her first day of kindergarten, which I know I have buried somewhere in my abyss of photos. I have a serious photo problem, that’s one reason why I became a Heritage Maker so I can get this little problem under control. But here is a photo of my daughter and her BFF this morning just before I drove them to school. They reluctantly posed for me but I know someday they will appreciate this photo.
Actually, I am making my daughter her own personal Yearbook this year. We will work on it together over the next several months. I thought it would be nice to take photos on a regular basis (weekly or monthly) along with the special occasions like visiting colleges, Homecoming, Spirit Week and of course the Prom. The school Yearbook is nice, but I think it will be really special to have a personal Yearbook to record the moments that she experienced during her Senior Year.
What do you think of the idea of a Personal Yearbook? If you’d like to know more about the one I am creating for my daughter, please send me an email with your questions or interest.
