Recently had the honor of photographing a wedding at Smith’s Ranch Hall in Twenty-nine Palms, California. Smith’s Ranch was built by one of the early homesteaders to the area. In 1954, it officially opened as a drive in theater and it’s one of only 18 still in operation today in California. Love the history behind this historical location.
And it was the perfect backdrop for Bree Anna & Cory’s Country Style Wedding earlier this month.
Not only did the Bride arrive at the alter in style via a classic red automobile, but her daughter Pearl announced to the guests, “Daddy, here comes Mommy” in a red wagon being pulled by the Flower Girls. So cute!
Fortunately the Ceremony was short and sweet considering it was an outdoor wedding and the temperature was hovering around 100 degrees that afternoon. Soon after the Family Portraits, everyone headed inside to the Hall to cool down and enjoy the festivities.
One of my favorite moments captured was during the Father-Daughter dance. It was an emotional outpouring of love as they danced and sang along to Wild Horses. Made me miss my Father just a little. Another favorite moment captured was when the Groom was dancing with his Grandmother during the Money Dance. As she looked up to him with love and pride, he couldn’t help but smile back.
And I predict that Bree Anna & Cory are going to have a houseful of children someday, considering her love and affection for children which was evident throughout the day.
Overall I have to say that this has been one of my favorite weddings I have ever captured!
Wishing Bree Anna & Cory a lifetime of love and happiness.
