What art period inspires you most was what week 5 of my art journaling class was all about.
Its been a rather long time since my art history class so I had to go back and do some research. I discovered that I am definitely inspired by the Impressionism era. I’ve always been attracted to vibrant color. And you can see that in my photography as well. I also love the palette knife technique used in Modern Impressionism.
I spent hours trying to re-create a knife palette look with this vibrant image I created recently. I failed miserably, in my opinion. Never could get just the look I an had envisioned. Definitely something I am going to have to work on and practice more. Until next week…
