Family’s all over the country are making their final preparations to celebrate Dad for Father’s Day this coming weekend.
It’s a bittersweet day for me. On one hand I love helping my son do something special for his Dad. And on the other hand my daughter never knew her father since he died when she was just an infant. I also dearly miss my Father who passed away in 1999.
As I was looking through my archives of images I’ve created over the years, I came across this Father Son image from 2012. It seemed like a perfect fit for this week’s i Heart Faces Photo Challenge, “All Boy”. And this Father is a hero to more than just his son. He’s a hero to the country he serves as a Marine.
By looking at this image, you would never know that I captured this image in the parking lot at Cap Rock located in Joshua Tree National Park while standing in the back of my truck. Mom is actually holding up the black background for me while I used my flash off camera to create this image.
If you’re stopping by from the i Heart Faces website, Welcome! And if you haven’t been to their website, I highly suggest you click on over and check out the many other amazing images submitted by the community of photographers over there.
