I have not had much time to blog over the past few days. First of all we were celebrating birthdays. The love of my life turned 37 on Friday. And then his namesake turned six on Saturday. If only namesake had been born twelve hours earlier, father and son would have shared a birthday.
I actually spent the first part of Saturday morning in town. Had a 9am doctors appointment but I decided to leave the house a little early so I could explore some of the area surrounding the doctors office for subjects to photograph. Just a block away, a new medical building had been erected so I decided to check it out. Some interesting lines caught my eye but what really grabbed my attention was new plant life. Unless its well maintained, new plant life does not last long here in the desert. Here is one of the photographs I especially liked from the morning’s little photo walk.
But the reason I was late in posting this for Monochrome Weekly hosted by Aileni was because my son got his first ever ear infection. I had to take him to the emergency room since his doctor’s office was already closed for the day and he was in considerable pain. Fortunately we were in and out of there in an hour. That’s really good considering how busy they were. Speaking of, I can hear him crying again. Must be time for more pain medicine.
I hope you enjoyed this week’s Monochrome Weekly offering. If you would like to see more Monochrome photographs, click on over to Aileni’s blog, Monochrome Weekly and see what others have submitted. And if you have a monochrome or two stashed away in your archives, post them for the rest of us to view. I am hoping this photograph will also qualify me for participating in the Ruby Red Tuesday Blog Theme hosted by Work of the Poet.
