On Monday, my husband and I celebrated our 1st “Official” Anniversary.  I coined the phrase, 10 + 1.  Since we were together for 10 years before actually getting married. Anyways, I’ve had the urge all weekend to get back out into the Park.  So this afternoon I convinced CJ to go on a little “Nature Hike” with me.  I love being able to just take off on a whim and incorporate something fun into our homeschooling day.

So I drove past the “rock” that Chris and I got married next to and ventured out to “Headstone” rock, which I recently heard about.  come to find out that it’s within shouting distance of Ryan Ranch, which is the spot I took the teenagers out to for their Senior Images this past May.

Let me tell you it was a gorgeous day for a Nature Hike.  Still slightly warm out there but we had a nice gentle breeze and some shade to cool us down.  CJ and I did do a little rock scrambling although “Headstone” is better known for Rock Climbing.  Perhaps once it cools off even more, I will talk with my friend Tee and she is she’ll do a rock climbing class for CJ and I.

So here are some images I captured today.  With my new lens.  I have been yearning for the new Tamron 18-270mm lens for quite some time.  And I thought with everything I’ve got scheduled in the next few weeks (business wise) it was the perfect time to try this lens out.  And now I really want to get one of my own.  I am definitely putting this les on my Christmas Wish List! Just click on the images to enlarge. Enjoy!
