This past Monday we desert dwellers were treated to an unexpected dusting of snow.  First thing Tuesday morning I drove into Joshua Tree National Park to check out the scenery.  I was not disappointed.  This is one of the snow capped heights as seen from the Cap Rock area within the park.  The day after a storm is the perfect time for landscape photography because the air is clean and in this case, cold and crisp.
