This past Saturday I invited some family over for a BBQ, which turned into a Mexican feast when they said they were bringing homemade chips and salsa.  Funny, just after I talked to my cousin about our planned feast, Ree over at the Pioneer Woman posted a recipe for Quesadilla de Camarones.  I thought this would be the perfect time to try out a new recipe.

And what feast is not complete without something to wash it down with.  At the request of hubby, I ended up making some Strawberry Daiquiris.  A delightful beverage to enjoy the last remnants of summer with.  Before company arrived, I just had to photograph this chillin’ creation for Ruby Red Tuesday.

Ruby Red Tuesday is a blog carnival hosted by Mary over at Work of the Poet.  Blog carnivals are a wonderful way to meet fellow bloggers and learn something new.  So if you are here on said blog carnival, Welcome! I almost forgot, here is the Strawberry Daiquiri recipe I used to make this tasty concoction.
