As I look at the time in the lower right corner of my desktop, I realize it is indeed Thursday. Where did the time go?
I can say this, I have spent most of Wednesday parked in front of my computer for many hours, focused on one thing. Moving my blog from WordPress.com to a self-hosted WordPress format blog. I did this in order to have more creative freedom when it came to my blog.
Since I don’t have my photographs for the Thursday Thirteen Blog Theme, I have decided to use this opportunity to point out Thirteen New things about my blog:
- I have a new and improved color scheme. I think it’s easy on the eyes, but if your having a problem with it, be sure to leave me some Feedback in the comments section.
- On the Home Page there is a rotating Featured Blog Post banner. Pretty cool, right?
- Just under that you have the Tabbed area highlighting some of the categories I organize all my posts into.
- Some you won’t see because it is a behind the scenes kind of thing, I de-cluttered my Blog categories to make it easier on all of us.
- Again on the home page, there is a box with three of the most popular posts. You should probably check them out so that those numbers stay high, thank you very much.
- In case you happen to get lost while checking out my blogs new diggs, there is a little blue birdy towards the top of the page that will tell you where you are on my blog. Sorry the birds GPS is limited to my blog.
- You can now read some of my Tweets because I have a Twitter Stream right here on my Blog. Just look at the Menu Bar at the top of my blog.
- I also made it easier for you to read any posts you may have missed by creating a Page devoted just to my Archives.
- My About Me page is looking less tablized these days so be sure to click on over there and brush up on your Patty Knowledge. There will be a Quiz on Friday.
- This theme was developed by a dude over at NattyWP
- One thing missing is my sidebar with all the links for Blogs “I’m Proud to be of” are. I will have to work on those after I get a few hours of shuteye.
- You can’t see this either, but I have a new email address just for this blog. Like I needed something new to memorize. but you can now email me at: patty@pkphotography.us
- Last but not least as they always say, there are a few spots you can click on to Subscribe so you don’t miss any postings. If you’ll look in the upper right corner of this page, there is a purple ribbon flashing RSS on it. Go click that right now and Subscribe. Go on, click on it, it won’t bite you. Now that you’re done with that, I would love to know what you think of my new blog design. I want you to be brutally honest. After all I write this blog for you. 🙂
