I hope that you had a wonderful long, Labor Day weekend. How did you spend your holiday weekend? I know many people flock to the beaches, lakes, and rivers to party and have fun one last time for the summer.
Not me. I spent the weekend laboring around the house. Saturday I worked on a Patio Bar my hubby and I created out of a TV shipping crate. We actually started this project on Memorial Day Weekend, as you can see {here} and {here}. It’s almost finished. Just need to fill in the grout lines and apply a protective acrylic coating to the painted trim. We’re having a BBQ this coming weekend so I have to get this finished this week.
And then Sunday we traveled to Hesperia to help Chris’ mom with a few of her home improvement projects. One we started on Mother’s Day {which you can read about here}, and it has yet to be finished. We made some progress but she wasn’t happy with the design I started for her tile back splash so I took it down. We’re going back in two weeks to try again.
Monday I slept in until just about 10am. I guess my body thought there was a football game on but the NFL Season hasn’t started yet. Once I got myself moving, I ventured out into the heat to wash and wax some vehicles. I washed hubby’s work truck while he washed the dog. I think it was a good trade. I also washed and waxed our 1995 Toyota Red 4Runner we have been fixing up. It was looking rather old and tired, but after two waxings,which took about 3 hours, it’s looking almost as good as new. What do you think?
