Today marks the beginning of a very month of birthdays. My friend Scary Mommy is celebrating her birthday today and her husband wrote a wonderful post today about her on her blog.
As for my immediate family, we will all celebrate a birthday over the next 32 days. We begin with my birthday on the 3rd. Then my daughter will turn 16 on the 9th. Chris will reluctantly age a year on the 31st and his namesake will be 6 years old on August 1st. This year we will celebrate with one big birthday bash on August 1st at Disneyland. Growing up, my birthday was generally overshadowed by the Fourth of July. I used to think that all the fireworks were for my birthday. As I get older, I really don’t mind having all the attention focused on America’s Birthday Celebration.
Continuing on with the July birthdays. Three of my high school friends will also be celebrating their birthdays this month. If you are involved with social media then some of you may know Perry Belcher who will be turning an un-disclosed age on the 28th. My friend Dawn, a certified Theta Healing Practioner, will be celebrating her birthday on the 29th.
