Today I am resting after a few days of being busy and having fun. Friday was my birthday so I went over to a friends house for a few hours to enjoy some poolside fun. My son had an absolute blast. He wore himself out so much that when we arrived home just before dinner, he crawled on the couch and fell asleep immediately.

Saturday dawned early and dark for CJ. It was around 5am when he came into the master bedroom for something. The alarm was set to wake us at 6:30am but once CJ woke me, there was no going back to sleep for me. After breakfast at our local Denny’s which later made me sick we arrived at Legoland. Legoland was pretty crowded but I expected it to be especially since it was a holiday. The highlight of CJ’s day was building lego race cars and testing them on the downhill tracks which he could have done at home for free and getting wet. I am so thankful I was able to get his ticket for considerably less and that I had a BOGO for the adult admissions too.

We ended out night with a display of fireworks and manuevering our way out of the parking lot and back onto the freeway home.

Then today when I finally crawled out of bed and made my way to my computer, I had a pleasant surprise in my email. Earlier this past week I had left comments about a product giveaway over at PetaPixel and luckily I was the winner. Just love getting prizes, especially when they are for my camera. Can’t wait to try out my new a handheld tripod from QuikPod.
