Have you ever heard of Aqua Notes? Me neither, until last week after participating in a Blog Collaboration hosted by my friend Robert Bravery on the subject of finding ideas for blog posts. I mentioned how I get many of my award winning ideas while showering. Next thing you know I am getting an email asking me if I would be interested in sampling some Aqua Notes. Intrigued, I replied to send some my way.
While waiting for my Aqua Notes to arrive, I checked out their website and watched a video they posted on their product. Check it out!
Now it was time to put Aqua Notes to the test. So into the shower I and my pad of Aqua Notes go. Sorry, I have no visuals for you. My camera broke the moment I undressed.
With the pad of Aqua Notes hanging securely from my tiled shower and water raining down, I began to scribble some notes on the waterproof paper with the cedar pencil provided. The cedar pencil wrote as smooth as silk. Even tested out the eraser on my happy face.
My next test, sharpening the pencil. Once I was out of the shower and properly dressed, I headed to my office by way of the kitchen for a Mocha and the electric pencil sharpener. No problems getting to the point of my test, except my son walked off with my Mocha.
I also wanted to know how well the Aqua Notes would hold up to extended periods of exposure to water so I submerged the Aqua Notes in a bowl of water for a few hours. They floated at first this must be how they prevent your ideas from going down the drain so I had to secure them under water. No water logging issues here.
I also tested their strength by tearing a sheet of paper in half. It appears the Aqua Notes are made to be durable because it took some effect to rip some notes. I can rest easier tonight knowing that my next brilliant idea in the shower will not be easily destroyed by a six year old who shares my shower.
