If you’ve been following me for a while, then you may recall that at the beginning of 2010 I embarked on a Project 365. I have to admit that somewhere in April I gave up on the Project. I could blame it on the move across town, but in reality it was just too much work at the time.
As 2011 inched closer, many of my online friends began talking about starting their Project 365’s for 2011. I felt like I had let myself down last year by not completing my Project 365 and I decided to give it another try. I knew though that if I was going to accomplish this goal, I was going to have to figure out a way to make it more fun and less work.
And then I discovered this fun little App for my Android phone. It’s called Retro Camera. It’s a neat application that simulates the photo processing of 5 different toy cameras. I was like a child at Christmas when I first got it. And then it occurred to me that I could use my phone for my Project 365 this year. I always have my phone with me wherever I go so it would be perfect. I even programed the alarm on my phone to go off at 3pm everyday to remind me to take a photo. Problem solved.
Well almost. The other issue I had last year was post processing of my photos and uploading them to the blog on a daily basis. Blogging is a lot of work for a perfectionist. But who says I have to blog them everyday? Nobody. So for 2011 I will be blogging my Project 365 on a weekly basis. This seems more manageable to me.
I even created a storyboard in Photoshop. It’s meant to fit a 12×12 Scrapbook Page. So at the conclusion of this years Project 365, I will be able to publish my own personal Storybook to have as a keepsake for 2011.
With that intro, I bring you to my first Project 365 Storyboard for 2011.
Are you doing a Project 365? If so, please leave me a link in the comments so I can check them out. I find photography inspirational and love looking at the images others create.
