planning your senior prom

Senior Prom may still be four months away but its never too soon to start planning your special night out.

Planning your senior prom can feel overwhelming at first, but if you break it down into small steps you’ll feel like your getting something accomplished as you complete each step.  Here are 5 Steps to get you started on planning your senior prom:

  • Road Trip – Start your planning adventure with a fun road trip to the lower desert to go shopping since we don’t have the shops you need in the high desert to find your dress, the shoes and all the necessary accessories. I suggest you get together with your friends and make a day of it.
  • Arrive in Style – You need wheels to get to prom, and with only one limo company (Hancock Limousines) in the high desert, you had best reserve your limo today. Want to really go in style?  I say go with a classic car like a Rolls-Royce.  A classic car like this will definitely turn heads as you roll up to your senior prom.
  • Got a date – If you’ve already got one, great you’re a head of the curve.  But, if you don’t already have a boyfriend then its time to look around school and ask someone special out. No one really catch your eye, plan to attend the prom with your besties
  • The dress – Senior prom is all about the dress, right ladies. And it can take a while to find the perfect dress. If you didn’t find a dress while out shopping, consider renting your prom dress from Rent the Runway. You can have a red carpet look for the price it would cost you to select something off the rack in the stores plus you take a chance of someone having the same exact dress as you at senior prom. Or if your handy with the sewing machine, you can always create your own one of a kind look for your senior prom.
  • Save your pennies – Going to senior prom can be so expensive, between the dress, the shoes, accessories, tickets, limo and don’t forget dinner.  Sit down and plan a budget.  Then you can start setting aside part of your monthly paycheck or allowance for your senior prom.

Stay tuned because next week I’ll be talking prom dresses!
