Never has a science lesson been so much fun!

Earlier this week, the Yucca Valley Branch Library presented Bubble-ology 101 as part of the Bubbles, Bangles, Bright Shiny Beads event sponsored by the “Friends of the Yucca Valley Library”.  Bubble-ology was being presented by Richard Rumble (aka The Bubble Elf).  Kids of all ages were entertained as Richard went on to demonstrate the science of bubbles.

We learned so many things about bubbles.  Like where bubbles get their colors from; bubbles are affected by the amount of humidity in the air, and that there are many different formulas for making the perfect bubble.  The kids also learned how scientists asks questions, form a hypothesis and then do experiments to determine whether or not their hypothesis was correct or not.  The highlight of the evening though was when the “Bubble Elf” put each of the kids into a bubble.

Needless to say I took hundreds of photos.  And even found time in my busy schedule to create this fun little video for my son.  Enjoy!
