That’s how I felt yesterday when I received the email stating that one of my landscape images had been chosen to be part of the Joshua Tree National Park 75th Anniversary Photo Exhibit.
To be perfectly honest, I was in tears, I was so happy. And I just couldn’t keep this to myself. First thing I did was call my friend Rosie, who was with me the night I captured this image. And then I plastered the news all over Facebook. Yeah, I was a tad excited. Once things had calmed down (inside my head) I called my mother to share the news with her. She was thrilled to hear the news since she has been in the hospital since Monday fighting a virus that attacked her lungs. The news totally lifted her spirits.
And then one of my friends asked if I was going to be selling copies of the image. I hadn’t thought about it, but it’s a wonderful idea. Why should I keep this image all to myself. Why not make it available for others to purchase and appreciate in their homes.
So here are the details, there are 3 sizes available: 8×12, 10×15 and 16×24. I know these are your normal sizes, they are digital sizes. This image was captured with a digital camera after all. The 8×12 and 10×15 Prints will be mounted to single weighted board and a protective finish applied. The 16×24 Print is mounted to a double weighted board and the protective finish is also applied. And the price includes shipping via FedEx.
And I just have to say “Thank You” to all of you who have supported me as I began this journey as a Professional Photographer. I could not have done this without you. And to those of you who decide to make a purchase, I “Thank You” and I hope that you enjoy this photograph as much as I did creating it.
